After the last patch self splash damage from primaries was decreased so now the only weapon you can use to instakill yourself is the crossbow. This is unfortunate because if your pod lands perfectly adjacent to a wall the crossbow will not blow you up and will shoot into the air. Makes runs a tad bit more annoying to finish when you also have to deal with the rng of your drop-pod controls locking up or not.
