Major thanks to catklaw for designing this excellent manipulated route! I discovered that the run is still doable grinding 2 fewer levels in the tower of Broww and buying a weaker sword afterwards. In this run I didn't have enough gold for the Shadows I normally get for the endgame, which made the final tower very interesting.
